23 October 2005: Lots to be learned during our first Judging School
The first Judging School of the Dutch Chapter provided our members an inside in the NCRS judging process. The judging standard was discussed, the method of judging was highlighted and the awards explained. After a presentation on these topics we rolled up our sleeves to do some hands-on judging on a 1969 convertible, big-block Vette.

2 July 2005: Sunny first Dutch road tour
Although the wether wasn't superb on Saturday the first Dutch Chapter road tour has been a great success. A very well organized tour (thanks Antonio) showed all the highlights of the Limburg province.

19 June 2005: Presents at Lelystad Oldtimershow 2005
June 19, the NCRS was present at the Lelystad oldtimer show. The biggest annual old-timer show with attendance of 500+ fantasticly restored old-timers. A variety of cars from British, Italian, France, Holland, the US and a number of other country were showed at their best. Of course the Corvette brand couldn't be missed so 5 owners attended the show with their car: one 1959, two 1960, one 1965 and a 1977 model. Two Vettes went home with one of the scare prices!!!

2 April 2005: Lots of new members
After a posting on the NCRS forum board we are happy to welcome a large number of new founding members. Please welcome Tom Dingman, Patrick Hulst, Clare Carpenter, Donald Olson, Richard Lyon, Verle Randolph and Craig Schultz as new sponsor members from the States. With them our membership counter is already on 12 members, almost half of what is required to officially recognize the Dutch Chapter for the CoB of the NCRS.

In the next couple of weeks we need to draw up the needed bylaws so the Chapter can officially be formed by registering it at the Chamber of Commerce. This enables us to open our own bank account to get the membership payment methods a bit more profesionalized.

Also we are planning to enhance this website a bit more. Plans are: add a list of members in the enclosed section, add a parts trade section and maintain this news page.

19 March 2005: First successfull technical session conducted
Today we took care of a number of items on Antonio Loi's car. His windshield was surrounded with an old, brittle rubber and was even outside the frame on the top. After removing the kickpanels and glove compartment and removing all the nuts the windschield was carefully removed.

The windshield frame was carefully removed from the tinted glass and the rubber replaced from the frame. Also the large two holes on each side were re-threaded to ensure a tight fit. When all fitted well again the windshield was placed back and tightened on the car. After putting the kickpanels and glove compartment back the car looked smashing again.

We also took car of the fuel gauge which wasn't working correctly, after close inspection it turned out the internal gauge wasn't connecting to the housing (which is grounded) which causes the meter to stick to the left corner when the key is turned on. After ensuring proper connection the guage worked just fine... Last but not least the car was put on the bridge for underbody examination. Since this car is a Powerglide car this was quite interesting (all the other cars of our group are 4 speeds.
