Judging School 2007 - The NCRS Judging Process with Master Judge Alan Foster

Meet & Greet

On our annual liberation day we combined these celebrations with the 2007 NCRS Judging School. This year we had the previledge to have master judge Alan and Ann Foster over to explain us the details on the NCRS judging guidelines. We focused specifically on 87 -89 judging since these cars hold a warm spot of '87 car owner Alan.

during my trip from Limmen to Wezep I was followed during the last 15 miles by a Belgium car. Alan & Ann recognized my Vette and followed me to the museum. They were quite surprised we were able to provide this unplanned service to our foreign visitors...

Presentation

Alan prepared a interesting presentation combining pictures of various events, especially the Florida regional last year, of the judging process in progress with scans of the score sheets to explain how to note findings on originality and condition.

Paying attention

The class of that was paying attention to the explanation of Alan...

Judging the Callaway

One of the cars of Andre's impressive 100+ car collection is an original (factory delivered) '89 Callaway car. Ofcourse we used this car as one of the cars to judge during this event. Alan asked directly if the car was for sale...

Tough questions

During the operations check of the Callaway some though questions were asked but non proved to be to challanging to be answered by our guest experts...

Chassis judging

The underside of the Callaway also has some interesting deviations compared to the regular production models. For example the exhausts are altered by Callaway to facilitate this high performance engine.

Lunch

After operations and some exterior checking it was time for a tradition Dutch snack: get some greasy French frieze with a kroket! (this doesn't translate).

Time to relax

During the break some time was on our hands to admire Andre's collection and the cars of the partipants.

'88 6500 mile car judging

In the afternoon the second part of presentation was given explaining the mechanics and chassis judging. Then we selected another car from Andre's collection to perform the mechanics section. This was a very original 6500 miles '88 car. This car still had nearly all original parts, only a service oil filter could be detected as the only deviation in this section...

Original air filter

Alan was mostly impressed to find an original air filter fitted in this car. The rubber seal in this original is gray while reproductions and service replacement parts have a different color seal.

Proto type Z06

One of the lastest additions of Andre's collection is this proto type Z06. This car is a nice background of this photo of Alan and Andre.
