All know that a good judging school needs a good preparation, so first lets have some coffee in a relaxed atmosphere... |

Before starting assembling the new leather first the previously fitted material was compared to the newly material sent by Al Knoch. |
Raymond prepared the chair frames nicely; cleaned, repaired and painted. Therefore we could concentrate us fully applying the foam and leather. |
All the miscellaneous bits provided with the new chair skin was compared with the previously fitted chair. |
The needed specialized tooling (pliers and puller) is carefully inspected. |
First the foam is put in position on the seat frame. |
Using these clips the leather can be pulled tight over the foam. |
The clips are pulled through the foam one by one using the special puller tool and attached to the springs on the frame. |
The original chair labels are re-applied to the springs of the seat frame. |
Next step is to stretch the leather onto the sides of the frame. |
To apply the material nicely onto the frames some force needed to be applied. Rob was asked to stand on the chair (using some wood) to press it down enough to allow Rene attach the fabric nicely... |
This is how the finished seating looks like when done. Now put it in the sun for an hour or two and it will look nice and smooth (without wrinkles). |
