19 March 2005: First successfull technical session conducted

Today we took care of a number of items on Antonio Loi's car. His windshield was surrounded with an old, brittle rubber and was even outside the frame on the top. After removing the kickpanels and glove compartment and removing all the nuts the windschield was carefully removed.

The windshield frame was carefully removed from the tinted glass and the rubber replaced from the frame. Also the large two holes on each side were re-threaded to ensure a tight fit. When all fitted well again the windshield was placed back and tightened on the car. After putting the kickpanels and glove compartment back the car looked smashing again.

We also took car of the fuel gauge which wasn't working correctly, after close inspection it turned out the internal gauge wasn't connecting to the housing (which is grounded) which causes the meter to stick to the left corner when the key is turned on. After ensuring proper connection the guage worked just fine... Last but not least the car was put on the bridge for underbody examination. Since this car is a Powerglide car this was quite interesting (all the other cars of our group are 4 speeds.
